Abstract: Platform economy is a new form different from the existing economic coordination form. Labor employment in platform economy can be divided into different categories according to the work content, the proportion of platform income, the nature of contracts signed with platforms and the self-classification of workers. Compared with foreign countries, it is similar in China in aspects that, for example, the average age of platform workers is relatively young, most of them have a certain level of education, the proportion of people born in nonlocal places and foreign countries is relatively high, and most of them are part-time workers, but it is different in aspects of, for example, gender ratio, working hours and absolute number of work income. At present, there are some problems in the labor employment of some platform economies at home and abroad, such as uncertain working hours, high labor intensity, low working income, instability, low participation rate of social security, lack of vocational training, no career development prospect, difficulty in protecting rights and interests, and deviation of working conditions.
